Where Does The Money Go?

So one of my best friends started one of these and I thought it was a pretty cool idea. I highly doubt mine will be as well written as hers but it's worth a shot.

The topic that I thought of today for many reasons is where our college tuition really goes and just money in general where it should go. Where I go to school I feel that they are using money in completely all the wrong ways. This idea stemmed from a discussion my class had in one of my social work courses the other day. There is a man who is in a wheelchair and we were discussing how for many many years he has tried to get handicap ramps set up around campus or even make the campus more handicap accessible because it is not at all. It is not like he is even the only person here in a wheel chair. I know of at least 4 students who are in wheelchairs and some of them just started here this year so I'm sure there is more that were here before I even got here. With constant arguments he only got one little part of campus more handicap accessible. Instead of putting money to good use, do you want to know what my school is doing? They are building on to the building where clubs and such meet, where the school store is among other things and making it much larger than it needs to be. It's a project that is going to cost millions and millions of dollars and is not needed as far as I'm concerned. My professor stated the reasoning for this and why they do it in a very good way. When people come to visit campus they aren't going to be like "oh look that handicap ramp." They are going to say "Oh look at that pretty and big building. I think I want to go here." So instead of being concerned about the students that are already here, they want to suck in more so they can get more tuition and money from us for more useless renovations. Speaking of caring about the students, is it really that hard to get salt to melt the ice? The sidewalks walking to class were so icy today and last week that people were slipping everywhere. I actually witnessed someone falling last week and they were very lucky they didn't get seriously hurt. I also heard a countless number of students talking about how they fell as well.

So here's my question: If we're paying to come here, shouldn't we feel safe and be able to voice our opinion as to what we want done on campus?
